Most of it is free, and the workshops are free or close to it. Groups and school classes book directly with us — there is a form of sorts at the bottom of this page.

A naturalist's walk for school-aged kids. Tracks, scat, fungi, and whatever the day turns up, led by the trail's official NY DEC forest steward.

Trees on the property carry a hand-stamped brass tag, and we add more each season. Walk the loop whenever you like and read them in any order.

Maple syrup, jewelweed salve, mushroom powders and tinctures, witch hazel. Set by the season, because the plants decide when.

Technology and nature through the school term — coding and robotics, field data and sensors, and digital making about what they find outside.
For schools & groups
Most of what we run is arranged directly with a teacher, a scout leader, or a homeschool group — you tell us roughly when, and we find a date that suits the weather and the season. Groups of up to about twenty work best. Everything is led by the trail's official NY DEC forest steward.
