The forest's own remedy: jewelweed grows right beside the poison ivy it soothes. Made with local beeswax.

Make your own jewelweed salve.
As DEC Stewards of the Vernooy Kill and Sundown Wild Forest, in partnership with TravelSchooling, we're teaching the forest's own answer to poison ivy — from plant to jar.
We start by cutting jewelweed together and end with a finished salve made from local beeswax, jewelweed, coconut or olive oil, and your choice of frankincense or rosemary.
Free class. $5 supply fee to make and take home your own container of salve.
